IT'S ONE PARTY CONTROL

No matter who is in the White House or which party controls Congress, New Mexico never seems to improve. Why? Because it's not Washington driving our state’s failures.

It is not Washington that has shaped the policies governing our economy, our schools, and our communities year after year. It's not Washington that has made our state one of the poorest in the nation. It's not Washington that has left our streets less safe. It's not Washington that has made healthcare harder to find or driven providers away. And it's not Washington that has led to our record-high poverty rates.

For years, progressive Democrats have held control here at home. The direction of this state has been decided in Santa Fe, not in Washington.

New Mexico’s challenges did not appear overnight. They have been building for generations. At some point, we have to stop pointing fingers elsewhere and take a hard look at the leadership and policies that have shaped the reality we are living in today.
